Training with OrganizationMetrics

At OrganizationMetrics we believe that providing great training options has played a huge role in our ability to successfully develop long-term relationships (often over 10 years) with many of our clients.

Just as with OMI Services, we simply focus on what training provides real value to our clients and what we would want delivered for training if we were the customer. The result of that simple philosophy is not some huge on-line university with catalogs of structured courses, programs and certificates, but rather a customized approach that recognizes the uniqueness of your company's training needs.

This simple approach takes 3 factors into consideration for each training instance:

1. Phase - which phase of the TMS project or relationship are you part of at this time?
2. Target Audience - who are you training?
3. Forum - what methods and mediums do you want to use to train your staff?

To select or design an OMI TMS Training element we consider the following Phases:

1. Pre-Implementation: your company has committed to implementing TMS with go-live in 3-8 weeks.
2. Post-Implementation: this phase can be 2 weeks before or after the go-live date, depending on the target audience.
3. Continuous Learning - this phase starts about 2-3 months after go-live, when we are primarily concerned with new employees, refresher training, and training on major upgrades to TMS.

Next, we work with you to target the audience so that the corporate messaging can be tailored and so you can optimize where "class time" is allocated across the application. The Targeted Audience can be:

  • TMS Administrators
  • End users - employees, managers, or all employees
  • IT Professionals - internal client support, implementation specialists, or maintenance professionals
  • Trainers
  • Help Desk or Internal Support staff

Finally, we work with you to determine the most appropriate forum to use for training the targeted audience. The options for Forum include:

  • Client's On-site Classroom
  • Organization Metrics' On-site Classroom
  • On-line OMI Instructor-led Training
  • Train-the-Trainer - Client Trainer is on-line or in class while OMI Trainer is on-line
  • On-line Self-paced Tutorials
  • OMI Support Walk-through's
  • OMI Manuals and Guides (Installation, Getting Started ...)

  • Generic Webinars on special topics
  • Customized Curriculum is also available

These elements can be combined into power training packages that focus your training where you need it and when you need it so that you get the most out of your TMS investment. Our training services group will partner with you to design your overall training programs, and to then fill in the training elements and help with implementation and support.

With OMI TMS, our primary goal is to help get you up-to-speed as quickly as possible. Our next priority is to make you self-sufficient for your more routine training needs while we continue to help you with newer programs, when required. Ultimately, we will continue to be there to whatever degree you need us and whenever you need us.
